Have you heard of Orange Friday? Today is Orange Friday in Minnesota. . . maybe elsewhere too. Orange Friday came about because it is the opening of deer hunting season and hunters are required to wear orange. In honor of today, here's more card inspiration for today. I used the Project Life Hello December 2015 Accessory Pack.
Remember I used this awesome accessory package yesterday to make the numbers on the Advent Tree (I'm still in love with that project!). I mentioned then there was more that you would want from this accessory pack!
I love this glittered deer frame - and there are more glittered frames too! I backed it with Early Espresso cardstock. Of course there needed to be a Rudolph accent - aka a Rhinestone covered with a Red Sharpie marker. I also added a linen thread bow.
The ever popular - everyone has to have it, Woodlands embossing folder is used on the background. It's a perfect fit!
Be sure to check out this Accessory Pack - it's inexpensive and I can tell you that you will be very happy with your choice!
Project Life becomes available to you tomorrow! Yes May 1 - May Day is the BIG day! This card uses one of the 4 x 4 cards that come in the uh mazing card box that is unique to Project Life by Stampin' Up! (think organization). Project Life isn't just for scrapbooking - this cute card certainly meets the definition of quick and easy - all made possible by one of the 4 x 4 cards! Make sure you check back tomorrow for more details on Project Life by Stampin' Up!
I have been doing a little research and am truly excited about this partnership with Becky Higgins. I am sure many of you can relate that you are WAY behind on your memory preservation. I am truly looking forward to this system for some of my memory keeping. One of the blogs I looked at talked about doing a day in the life. I love that idea. Just this week, looked at a notebook that I had my dear Grandma write in - some of her daily memories. I think this would be an awesome way to preserve memories for many generations to come!
Now, I am going to deviate a bit from my normal blogging to share a message with you that is on my heart to share.
This is my beautiful daughter Chrissy. How many mothers can say that their daughter inspires them - I am very proud to say - she inspires me.
Let me tell you a bit about her;
she is passionate about what she believes in - and has a need to make a difference
she is a very hard worker
she is sensitive
her insights into topics inspire me to think more deeply
she is humble and giving
her faith in Christ and her values are admirable
she is challenged by anxiety, body weight and finances
Recently, we had a conversation about how she had just paid off one of her school loans. And she was excited because she was going to have her car paid off in a few short months. The next day she called us crying because of this;
Ice had fallen off the roof of the apartment building she lived in and crushed her car. It was totalled. What a set back both emotionally and financially. She has been without a car since this happened in March.
This week, I posted that on the Stampin' Up! cruise, we are stopping in Haiti. As part of SU's mission, we are doing a walk a thon to raise money for Mission of Hope for Haiti with a goal of building 3 houses. We can also bring along some items to be given to the Leveque Community. I mentioned in my post that I would be taking items and would welcome others to donate as well. The first - and immediate response to my post was from Chrissy who stated that she had a $25 gift card to Walmart and would like to go there Friday night to shop for things for the Leveque community with her gift card.
Now, here is a person who doesn't have much and could use the gift card for her daily essentials - but, she is focused on others. It brings to mind several lessons we read about in the Bible. I am proud of her. I share this store so that perhaps you can be inspired as well.
